There is nothing I love more than connecting communities of readers! I am available to visit schools, libraries, books clubs and interested workplaces. I can be there in person or by Skype! I have a PowerPoint Presentation on my life as a writer, how I get my ideas and the publishing world. I'd also be happy to lead a writing workshop, help prep query letters, or I'm open to other ways you might be interested in using me.

My author visit typically includes an interactive PowerPoint Presentation on how I came to be an author as well as how a story goes from an idea to a book. I always leave time for student questions and I am happy to sign books either ahead of time or after my presentation.

Presentations can easily be geared towards different ages from high school through college level. And, if it's a smaller classroom, I can include a writing activity as well.

While I can certainly present the PowerPoint over Skype, most people using Skype prefer a more casual visit where we talk about the craft of writing and viewers get ample time to ask questions.

I am happy to work with you so that you may get the most out of my visit.

Here's what some of my past "hosts" have to say:

"Thank you again for your marvelous presentation today. You balanced the interests of both classes really well and were so engaging, the students had a wonderful experience."

- Maggie Hill, English instructor, California State Los Angeles

"Lisa came to my undergraduate writing workshop to speak about character development, writing for young adult audiences, and the publication process. She went above and beyond any other author visit I've encountered. She provided my students and myself with valuable insight into publishing houses and the process involved in moving from manuscript to publication. Lisa is an engaging, lively speaker who marries inspiration with practical wisdom."

- Alison BM, University of Nevada at Las Vegas
